Anthea Carrasco
With more than a decade of experience as a trial lawyer and trusted advocate, Thea has earned the respect of her clients, colleagues, and the judiciary.
Thea was born and raised in Greeley and is proud to call Weld County her home. She graduated from Greeley Central High School, earned a Boettcher Foundation Scholarship, and graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University. She attended law school at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and while there, was a national qualifier in trial advocacy and appellate advocacy competitions. She graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2009, and she was recognized as Order of the Coif for being in the top ten percent of her graduating class.
After graduating from law school, Thea worked as a judicial law clerk for the late Hon. Walker Miller in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. In 2010, she joined the Weld County District Attorney's Office. She was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney in 2013 and remained in that position until 2021, handling some of the most serious cases in the community, including homicides, sexual assaults, crimes against children, serious drug cases, and cold cases. Thea has been in private practice since early 2021, and began her firm in June 2025. In addition to her vast experience in front of juries, Thea also has experience litigating appellate issues before the Colorado appellate courts, including arguments in front of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Thea feels strongly that God puts us where we're meant to be, and she knows that she is exactly where He wants her - helping people just like you with the stressful and important legal situations you're dealing with. Thea really enjoys her work and truly values the relationships she forms with her clients. She takes very seriously the trust placed in her by her clients to help them navigate the life situations they have encountered. She strives to do her best every day, with grace, professionalism, and sincerity. Thea's family is a source of incredible joy to her, and she knows the same is true for her clients, which is why she is honored to be able to help them navigate the issues they're dealing with in their own families.
If you need a lawyer who will truly listen, someone who is smart, compassionate, thoughtful, strategic, and will fiercely advocate for what you want and need, Thea would love to meet you and see if she can help.
Thea is a proud wife and mother of three daughters. She has long been an active member of the Weld County community, including a history of service on the 19th Judicial Performance Commission, the Board of Directors for North Range Behavioral Health, the Board of Directors for Youth and Family Connections, and the Board of Directors for the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center. In her spare time, you will find her wrangling kids, spending time with her wonderful husband, watching softball, getting excited at high school wrestling matches, and generally just trying to keep all the balls in the air like everyone else.
